The call of the cicada is familiar to most, but in the mountains, the complexity of their songs will indeed come as a surprise. Every type of cicada has its own frequency and rhythm, much like the various tones and effects of electronic music. That is why I invited Ń7ä, a producer of electronic music, to create a haunting symphony of cicada calls sourced from different locations and species.

*The cicada singers in this song includes Formotosena seebohmi, Mogannia hebes in Lanyu, Tanna viridis, and Purana apicalis.
