Although each and every one of us can do something for the planet, individually, our strength is quite limited. I hope to chronicle the here and now through creating music with the sound of nature, based on my personal experience and views. I feel privileged to be able to share with you nature’s whispering and I hope these sounds will inspire you to further care for and cherish this beautiful land.

about

The vast land is full of life, home to countless animals.

People go on safaris in the Maasai Mara and Serengeti in East Africa in search of the Big Five—lion, African bush elephant, the African buffalo, leopard, and black rhinoceros. For me, what catches my eye is our Maasai tour guide Sammy, who has a cellphone in one hand and the steering wheel in the other, comfortably traveling back and forth between the old and new, and the city and the savannah. He’s a proud descendent of the rich and ancient Maasai culture, a spokesperson for how his people coexist with the land.

*The male vocals in the song are recorded by Sammy Kaleku during the emanyatta olorikan ceremony that takes place every 15 years.
